Clean Design for Cleaner
Water
Procter & Gamble has released a horizontal version
of their popular PUR brand of faucet mount water filters,
which has already become the number one product in that category. It
features a more intuitive valve actuation and, due to the horizontal filter
orientation, a reduced frontal visual profile. We are co-patent holders for
this design (patents D438592,
D484567, D453952S).
Others are pending. This
product was also was a finalist in the international PTC Pro/AWARDS
competition, Consumer category (see streaming
video clip). |

CADD-Legacy Ambulatory Infusion
Pumps
A new generation of single-therapy drug infusion pumps, developed by
SIMS Deltec, Inc. (Now Smiths Medical), offers a more intuitive interface, improved ease-of-use, reliability
and safety. Often used for outpatient pain management therapies, one of the primary goals
of this project was to reduce the "intimidation" factor for the user. A shape
configuration that is less "medical" and more comfortable to wear (or hold in
the hand) were important design objectives. Designed as a global product, it
is available with interfaces in the following languages: French, German,
Swedish, Italian, Spanish, Japanese, Danish, Finnish, and Portuguese. |
