Argosy DT-1 |
|
| The Argosy DT-1 is a digital programmer for sophisticated "tunable" hearing-aids. It began as a modest but functional client breadboard mockup that would be difficult and expensive to produce in production quantities. | |
The final injection-molded product. |
After sketches and foam models helped establish the overall appearance and "character" of the programmer, our project engineers first defined the internal component configuration to optimize space and lower production costs (largely by reducing the part count). Then CAD was employed to create precise piece-part and assembly documentation for manufacture (left). We concurrently created computer renderings for design verification and to finalize the details (below). Lightning not included.
